Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN) is partnering with Landers 88, a set of old boys and girls association of Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School (MCSS), Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria to institutionalise an annual lecture series in memory of their classmate, Omolara Jolaoso, who died of breast cancer. The maiden edition themed “Breast Cancer and Lifestyle” is holding on February 4, 2015 to commemorate World Cancer Day at 10 am in the MCSS hall. The lecture aims to raise the level of awareness around what causes breast cancer and how it can be treated and promote lifestyle choices that can reduce an individual’s risk of breast cancer. Apart from the staff and students of MCSS, parents and the general public are invited.
