Many thanks to all of you who attended the maiden edition of Sing for Life held on December 15, 2012 in Ibadan. The kids had a wonderful time and we hope you had an enjoyable experience. Your presence was highly appreciated and, without doubt, it contributed to success of the event. Tell us if you would like us to make it a yearly event. That will confirm your support and strengthen our commitment. Your suggestions on how we can improve our presentation are highly welcomed.
While wishing you a happy new year, we urge you to commit to the fight against breast cancer. Our kids are using their voices to raise awareness .What is your input? Remember we are fighting to END breast cancer by 2020! Let’s hear from you what your plans are for 2013. Is it to raise awareness by organising an event in your community, church, school, workplace, club etc or kick start an advocacy movement by collaborating with a legislator representing your local government area or State? Tell us. We will brainstorm with you for a good outcome. Remember we are in this together. Nobody is too young or too old to make a change. The Golden Girl is an amazing example of what a young individual can do with sincerity of purpose and commitment. There are many Golden boys and girls out there waiting to be identified and groomed. We are looking beyond singing. We are looking at their potentials, the total package. What will they become in the future? We believe that the BRECAN Choir might be that platform. With your support we can fish them out, and the nation will be better for it. We will keep you updated. Also visit our website www.brecan.org for latest information and activities.
